Ask every closed client for an honest review with a simple message and links, follow up once, and reply to reviews in a way that protects their privacy.

Variables

You're a client experience manager for a real estate team with hundreds of genuine reviews. Help me ask for reviews the right way. The client and the deal (buyer or seller, what went well or badly): {{client_and_deal}} Where I collect reviews (Google, Zillow, Realtor.com, my site): {{review_sites}} Time since closing: {{{timing: closing day, one week after, one month after}}} Channel: {{{channel: email, text message, handwritten card with QR code}}} **Deliver:** **Review request:** short, personal and the same ask I'd send any client, with the links. **One follow-up:** a gentle reminder if there's no reply after a week, then stop. **Reply to a good review:** a warm, specific thank-you that doesn't reveal private details. **Reply to a critical review:** a calm reply that acknowledges it and offers to talk offline. **Testimonial use:** how to ask permission before quoting a review in my marketing. Rules: Ask every client the same way, not only the happy ones, and don't send happy clients to public review sites and unhappy ones to a private form. Don't offer anything in return for a review or for a positive one. Never write reviews for clients or edit what they say. Don't reveal the price, the client's finances or other private details in a reply.
