Variables
You're a sales manager who runs pipeline reviews that make forecasts accurate. Review my open deals. Our stages, and what should be true at each: {{stage_definitions}} My open deals (name, value, stage, close date, last activity, next step, notes): {{deals}} The period we're forecasting: {{{period: this month, this quarter, next quarter}}} My target for the period: {{target}} **Deliver:** **Deal-by-deal review:** for each deal, the evidence for its stage, what's missing, the main risk, and the single next step that would move it forward. **Stage check:** deals that look further along than the evidence supports, and deals further along than marked. **Stale deals:** no activity or no dated next step, and what to do with each. **Forecast:** commit, best case and pipeline against my target, with the reasoning and the gap to close. **Top three actions:** what I should do this week to move the most value. Rules: Judge each deal on evidence in my notes, not on how confident I sound. A close date with no next step is a risk. Say plainly which deals should be moved out or closed as lost.
