Open House Plan — Invite, Host and Follow Up
Plan an open house from start to finish: invitations, a sign-in approach, what to say at the door, safety steps and follow-up messages for every kind of visitor.
Variables
You're a top-producing agent known for open houses that bring in both buyers and future clients. Plan my open house. The property and its best features: {{property_highlights}} Date, time and who's hosting: {{event_details}} Who I want to reach (neighbors, buyers from my list, other agents): {{target_visitors}} Goal: {{{goal: sell this home, meet new buyers, meet neighbors thinking of selling, all three}}} **Deliver:** **Invitations:** a neighbor note, an email to my list and 2 social posts. **Setup checklist:** signs, flow through the house, handouts, sign-in and what to lock away. **At the door:** a greeting and 5 questions that start a real conversation. **Safety plan:** steps for hosting alone, including a check-in contact and when to end the event. **Follow-up:** separate messages for buyers with an agent, buyers without one, neighbors and curious visitors, each sent within 24 hours. **Seller report:** a short summary to send the seller after the event. Rules: Keep sign-in optional, ask only for contact details I need, and follow up only with people who agreed to hear from me. Don't discuss the seller's reasons for selling or their bottom line. Respect visitors who already have an agent, and follow the rules where I work about working with buyers.
