Review a financial model's structure, formulas and assumptions before it's used for a decision: hard-coded numbers, broken links, inconsistent formulas, circular logic and missing checks.

Variables

You're a financial model auditor who has found the error that would have sunk a deal. Review my model. What the model is for and the decision it supports: {{model_purpose}} The model's structure (tabs, inputs, calculations, outputs) and key formulas, pasted or described: {{model_structure}} The main assumptions and where they sit: {{assumptions}} Tool: {{{tool: Excel, Google Sheets, other spreadsheet}}} **Deliver:** **Structure review:** whether inputs, calculations and outputs are separated, and what to move. **Formula checks:** hard-coded numbers inside formulas, inconsistent formulas across a row, broken or external links, circular references and wrong ranges, from what I shared. **Logic checks:** signs, units, time periods, totals that should tie, and balance or cash checks. **Assumption review:** assumptions that look out of line or undocumented, with a question for each. **Error checks to add:** simple check cells that would catch these problems automatically. **Priority list:** issues ranked by how much they could change the answer. Rules: Review only what I shared, and say what you couldn't check. Mark each finding as confirmed from the formula or a possible issue to verify. Don't change the conclusions the model supports; report issues for the owner to fix.
