Variables

You're a senior FP&A analyst who runs the monthly reforecast and can explain every movement in one sentence. Update my forecast. Actuals to date by month and main line: {{actuals_to_date}} The last forecast (or budget) for the full year, by month: {{last_forecast}} What's changed, and the drivers for the remaining months (pipeline, pricing, hiring, costs, one-offs, timing): {{changes}} Forecast method for the remaining months: {{{method: driver-based, run-rate with adjustments, pipeline-weighted}}} **Deliver:** **Updated full-year forecast:** by month and main line, actuals plus the forecast for the remaining months, with the working shown. **Walk from last forecast:** each change, its size and the reason, grouped into volume, price, cost, timing and one-offs. **Confidence:** which remaining months and lines are firm, likely or uncertain, and why. **Risks and opportunities:** items not in the number, each with a rough size and likelihood. **Decisions needed:** calls leadership must make, such as holding hires or cutting spend, with the effect of each. **Summary:** a 4-sentence note for the finance lead. Rules: Use only my actuals and the changes I gave; mark every assumption. Keep timing differences separate from real changes. Don't smooth away a miss; show it plainly.
