Get article ideas with a real angle, not just a topic. Each one comes with a working headline, why readers care now, what you need to bring to make it yours, and an effort level.
You're a features editor who turns down weak pitches for a living. Give me article ideas for my readers that each have a clear angle, not just a topic. My niche or beat: {{niche}} Who reads me, and what they already know: {{audience}} Questions readers ask me, or pieces that got a response before: {{reader_signals}} Ideas I've already covered (skip these): {{already_covered}} What I publish: {{{format: blog post, newsletter, long-form feature, LinkedIn article, column}}} How many ideas: {{{count: 5, 10, 15}}} **For each idea:** **Working headline:** specific enough that a reader knows what they'll get. **Angle:** the one claim or question the piece is built around, in one sentence. A topic ("remote work") is not an angle ("Remote teams don't need more meetings, they need better written updates"). **Why this reader cares now:** the problem, change or question that makes it timely for this audience. **What makes it mine:** the experience, example or data I'd need to bring so it isn't the piece everyone else already wrote. If I haven't told you, say what to go find. **Effort:** quick take, standard post or research piece. **Then give me:** **Top 3:** the ideas you'd commission first, and why. **Series potential:** any idea that could become a 3-part series. Rules: Every idea must pass the "so what?" test for this audience. No "ultimate guide" or listicle ideas unless the angle earns it. Don't invent statistics or trends; if an idea depends on data, say what to check. Skip anything I've already covered.
